Gift Guide: Harmony Lane Heart Purse

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... 

I got this in my Who What Wear newsletter today (if you don't subscribe and you love fashion - then you definitely should www.whowhatwear.com.) and the theme was holiday party bags!

This little heart bag totally reminds me of the episode of Sex in the City (Season 2) when Carrie goes to a party with Big and he gives her an awful handbag that is shaped like a swan and encrusted in crystals.  I think it was made by Judith Leiber.  Carrie is totally embarrassed by her ugly handbag - but when she gets to the party and sees every woman there carrying the bag - she realizes how MUCH Big loves her and what a nice gesture the purse was. 

This heart bag is a much more affordable option and is both fun and cheeky!  Of course, I called my friend Mia and just begged if she would get it for me for Christmas - while referencing the Sex and the City episode.  SCORE!

Gift Guide: Anthropologie

Anthro is probably one of the best stores to pick up gifts for the holiday season.  They have tons of festive ornaments and candles that can be given out as stocking stuffers.  Downstairs in the Union Square location, Anthro has  great little items for the home (monogrammed mugs, aprons, journals), that are relatively inexpensive and make great presents for co- workers.  I popped into the store this weekend looking for some white elephant gifts and walked away with a bunch of fabulous finds.

Side Note:  Best Place to buy gifts award because they give you free gift wrap - boxes and ribbons for each purchase that you make!  

Each one of these little soap boxes features a vintage reproduction by Trey Speegle and was inspired by paint by numbers.  Inside is a delicious smelling soap that is also pressed with the paint by numbers theme.  There are a few different box designs: Love, Joy, and Hope.  I was totally sold by the cute packaging!

I absolutely love this little mirror!  It is gold/ brass with a monogrammed initial and includes a tiny little burlap carrying case.  It's the kinda gift that you would never buy for yourself - but would love it if someone got it for you.

The most adorable candles on the face of this planet!  Check them out they have ceramic ski caps on from the classic cable knit cap to a fur trapper with ear flaps.  They smell fabulous, too!
