Shop My Closet: BCBG Max Azria

Okay, so my friend Amy wore this dress to a friend's wedding out in Monterey - and she definitely stole the award that night for best dressed.  (Thank goodness I was a bridesmaid in the wedding - so I didn't have to go through the stress of knowing what is appropriate for day time weddings/ night time weddings/ out door weddings/ etc. etc. etc.)

Of course, I nearly tackled her when I saw her - and had 20 questions about where I could pick up the dress myself. :)  So here's the scoop!  It's BCBG by Max Azria and comes in two shades Hot Pink (Azalea) - which you can find in most stores and a darker purple (Boysenberry) which is a little harder to track down.  (I found it in Bloomies!)  The best part about the dress is the Rosette and the tiers which definitely do not overpower the dress aka you can eat a lot of food, and look pregnant but no one will have the slightest idea (thanks bcbg).  I have no events to attend - but I picked it up and hung it in the closet to save it for a special occasion.

Shop My Closet: Elizabeth and James

I am absolutely obsessed with Elizabeth and James line - even though I am secretly jealous and embarrassed about it being designed by The Olsen Twins.

I was shopping down in Los Gatos over the weekend with my sister - and was eyeing one of their blazers (you will see it in a post soon - since I am such a sucker) when the sales woman brought this lovely vest to my attention.  I didn't even see it - and I wish I hadn't because I immediately wanted to take it home with me.  I tried it on and the XS was the only size in stock and of course made for tiny midgets like the Olsens so there was no way in hell the front button was going to close.  Of course, I used my mad online skills to find it on Shopbop and it should be arriving in 5-8 business days.

The best part of the vest is that you can remove the ruffles (buttons) and rock it as a normal menswear piece - so I am definitely digging the versatility of it.  Now, I have about 3 vests in my current closet to donate to some friends. :)

Shop My Closet: Christian Louboutin Simple 100 Pumps

After nearly killing myself and eating shit on multiple occasions in my Feticha Pumps - I realized I needed to get a simple every day black pump suitable for the office - but fashion forward enough to still make me excited every time I pull them out of the box.

Alas, Christian Louboutin (the genius who figured out how to make a shoe stand out by simply coloring the leather sole lipstick red) has an answer for all fashionistas during their daily routine.

I gave them the trial run and they get an A+!  I wore them for a full 8 hour day of work followed by drinks with clients in the evening - and i was even able to run across busy SF streets rocking them! :)  My only note of caution is that the stiletto heel is suuuuper teeny tiny and likes to get stuck in the cracks on the sidewalk.  So please don't be as clumsy as me and take out a big chunk of the patent by accidently stepping on a crack!

Shop My Closet: Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent

I am literally going broke but yet I still cannot resist a sale.  And of course, since we are transitioning between seasons - it has never been easier to justify to myself that I need a new fall wardrobe!

I love everything in the Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent line - but everything starts basically at the $250 price point which is pretty steep.  

Some of her pieces are on sale on Shopbop.com so I went ahead and picked this up.  I can see myself wearing it just like the model on the weekends/ or even dressing it up with a pair of black slacks and taking it into the office.

Label Watch: Repetto's Jackson Flats

Leave it to Repetto (the classic Parisian brand) to pay homage to the King of Pop with their gorgeous patent leather Jackson flats.  And of course, Kate Moss is rocking them all over town.

They come in Black or Grey Patent - and seem to be flying off the shelves everywhere.  Pick them up @ Fred Segal (this is the only place I am seeing them online).
